Jim Gray is the senior executive of the company and is responsible for management of the operations and business development. He brings 35 years of experience and successive promotion through all levels of design and construction management.
As president and cofounder, Jim formulated the strategic mission, attracted and retained project management, operations, and accounting professionals, and established the banking, surety, and regulatory relationships for FaverGray. He coordinates and shapes projects and operations with the company’s business partners, cultivates new business, and directs the delivery of the firm’s multi-state services.
Gray was group president of The Haskell Company’s Commercial/Institutional division for seven years. As group president, he had complete P&L responsibility for the group’s strategic direction, business planning, operations and profit contributions. During his tenure as president, the group grew profitably from $80 million in annual revenues to more than $300 million, while projects delivered totaled more than $2 billion.
As an integrated operation, the Commercial/Institutional Group handled design and construction. Gray was responsible for managing a design department of more than 70 architects and engineers and a construction management staff of more than 70 project development and construction managers. Projects were delivered through four highly focused business units – Education, General/Commercial, Healthcare/Senior Living and Government Facilities.
Gray graduated from the University of Florida in 1976 with a bachelor’s degree in Building Construction. He and his family live in Ponte Vedra Beach.
Gray is on the board of directors for the University of North Florida Construction Management College, the board of directors for Jacksonville Beach Habitat for Humanity, and Patrons of the Heart, a organization which provides critical care for third world children suffering from congenital heart diseases.
