Team Spotlight – Shane Brown

At FaverGray, we take pride in celebrating the people who make our projects possible. Meet Shane Brown, one of FaverGray’s devoted Project Managers who celebrated 4 years with the team earlier this year. As Project Manager, Shane is responsible for direct management of the project construction from the early development stages through project completion, and, working directly with the Project Superintendent, coordinating project mobilization logistics, schedules, and all operations and sequences. Shane is a sports lover, from working in the sports industry before joining the FaverGray team to playing or watching sports to decompress. He owes both the most significant challenge he has faced and the achievement he is most proud of – running a major sporting event during the pandemic in San Francisco – to his time in his previous field. If construction had not captured his attention, he believes he would still be involved in sports professionally! Shane credits FaverGray’s culture as the most enjoyable thing about working at the company, so it is no surprise that hanging out with his friends is his favorite way to unwind. The time he has spent in this environment has contributed to the development of his relational skills, which he says are essential to his role. Shane has been a part of three projects so far while with FaverGray: The Juliette at Wildwood, located in Wildwood, Florida, is a 288-unit multifamily development that features a myriad of building types, a fitness room, clubroom, co-work area, package room, maintenance/pet wash building, pool courtyard, and Bocce Ball court. The Darley, located in Ocala, Florida, is a 228-unit luxury multifamily development featuring seven apartment buildings, a clubhouse, fitness center, resort-style pool, a dog park, and a maintenance building. Linea at Altamonte Springs, located in Altamonte Springs, Florida, is a 332-unit luxury multifamily community that features four apartment buildings, a resort-style pool, pool pavilion and cabanas, clubhouse, fitness center, and dog park.
Team Spotlight – Evan Nursey

At FaverGray, we take pride in celebrating the people who make our projects possible. Meet Evan Nursey, one of FaverGray’s motivated Assistant Project Superintendents, who celebrated 3 years with the team this summer. Evan works closely with the Superintendent and Project Manager, coordinates contracted work, supervises field operations and has responsibility for safety and quality control policies and procedures. According to Evan, every day at FaverGray is different, but primarily consists of problem-solving and progressing through the building process step-by-step. He views every project he’s worked on as an equal accomplishment because the privilege of working with good people, who are always willing to help, is what makes a job successful. Evan was inspired to join the construction industry after spending time building custom homes with his father in Orlando. He cannot picture himself in any other industry, and he believes that understanding how different people respond to different directives is the skill he has developed most during his time working in construction. When he’s not on the jobsite, Evan enjoys working on his project car, fishing, and relaxing at home. His perfect day is simple: sunshine, no clouds in the sky, and everyone he sees is in a good mood. His bucket list item is traveling to every Margaritaville in the world, but his favorite destination so far is Williams, Arizona. Evan’s favorite song is Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb” because of the guitar solo, of course!
Team Spotlight – Jack Trochessett

At FaverGray, we cherish the opportunity to recognize the people behind the projects. Meet Jack Trochessett, one of FaverGray’s resourceful interns. Jack supports Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. His primary responsibilities include assisting with project documentation, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, procurement, RFIs, submittals, and a variety of other project-related tasks that allow him to gain hands-on experience and learn construction management best practices while helping deliver safe, high-quality multifamily and student housing projects. According to Jack, his typical day at FaverGray includes aiding Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers on daily tasks like calling subcontractors, which he cites as his favorite part of his role. Jack is looking forward to building his professional repertoire, but his favorite accomplishment so far is building his family’s home. When asked what inspired him to pursue a career in construction, Jack credits the joy he gets from seeing a piece of land transform into something people use daily. In the same vein, his passion for helping others live more enjoyable lives informs what profession he would be pursuing if not for construction: a fishing guide. His time in construction so far has developed his attention to detail the most, and the biggest challenge has been learning the ropes of the industry. Outside of work, Jack enjoys going to the gym, fishing, and spending afternoons at the beach. Consequently, his favorite place he’s ever traveled is the Bahamas. He is an avid spear fisher, and his top bucket list item is spearing a marlin. Jack’s favorite song is “Jesus Saves” by Riley Green!
Team Spotlight – Jonathan Gonzalez

At FaverGray, we take pride in celebrating the people who make our projects possible. Meet Jonathan Gonzalez, one of FaverGray’s dedicated Assistant Superintendents who joined the team earlier this year. Jonathan works closely with the Superintendent and Project Manager, coordinates contracted work, supervises field operations, and has responsibility for safety and quality control policies and procedures. For Jonathan, a typical day at FaverGray involves dealing with the day-to-day logistics of construction. The best part of this experience for Jonathan is the knowledge and experience of construction that he acquires each day. When it comes to career achievements, he is proud to be a part of teams that have delivered projects under budget and ahead of schedule. While Jonathan cites discord between teams as the biggest challenge he has faced in the industry, he also says that is what has informed his multidimensional understanding of construction. If Jonathan were in a different industry, he would be in his previous field of social work. His appreciation of how construction propels growth and development inspired him to join the construction industry. Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys lifting weights, traveling – his favorite destination so far is San Diego – and spending time with his family. Jonathan’s favorite song is “Little Wing” by Jimi Hendrix!
