At FaverGray, we cherish the opportunity to recognize the people behind the projects. Meet Jack Trochessett, one of FaverGray’s resourceful interns. Jack supports Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. His primary responsibilities include assisting with project documentation, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, procurement, RFIs, submittals, and a variety of other project-related tasks that allow him to gain hands-on experience and learn construction management best practices while helping deliver safe, high-quality multifamily and student housing projects.
According to Jack, his typical day at FaverGray includes aiding Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers on daily tasks like calling subcontractors, which he cites as his favorite part of his role. Jack is looking forward to building his professional repertoire, but his favorite accomplishment so far is building his family’s home.
When asked what inspired him to pursue a career in construction, Jack credits the joy he gets from seeing a piece of land transform into something people use daily. In the same vein, his passion for helping others live more enjoyable lives informs what profession he would be pursuing if not for construction: a fishing guide. His time in construction so far has developed his attention to detail the most, and the biggest challenge has been learning the ropes of the industry.
Outside of work, Jack enjoys going to the gym, fishing, and spending afternoons at the beach. Consequently, his favorite place he’s ever traveled is the Bahamas. He is an avid spear fisher, and his top bucket list item is spearing a marlin. Jack’s favorite song is “Jesus Saves” by Riley Green!
